Handy Guide For Buying Stylish Electric Pool Heaters

Posted in Uncategorized

There are several factors that need to be considered when determining which pool heater is best for your needs. Both have pros and cons. Electric pool heater naturally means heater that uses electricity to warm the water. The water from your pool is pumped through a filtration and heating system before it is pumped back into your pool.

You will often get greater energy efficiency with an electric pool heater than with a gas one. Pool heaters are not as effective in lower temperatures. To get the highest level of efficiency from an outdoor electric pool heater, the outside temperature should be above 45 degrees. Your electric pool heater is going to have to work harder and harder the more surrounding temperatures go down.

The size, climate and time of year you plan on using your electric pool heater are things you will want to take into consideration. Gas pool heaters may often prove to be cheaper than electric ones.

Solar or electric pool heaters are very energy efficient, but don’t forget that gas pool heaters are still popular, just not as energy efficient. Again, your local climate will help to determine the heater efficiency. Either natural gas or propane can be burned when using a gas pool heater. An electric pool heater maintains a warm, comfortable water temperature regardless of any winter weather conditions.

Gas pool heaters are tremendously efficient for fast warming of a pool. The best cost efficient pool heater is the solar powered type. Depending on the weather where you live, these might not be suitable. Solar collectors for these models are installed on the roof of your home most of the time. Filter, collectors, return to pool is the trip water takes when it is being pumped. If you are looking for economic operating costs then solar is an excellent choice.
