Hydroponic gardening is a good choice for those gardening enthusiasts that want to grow plants in their interiors. This is a method where soil is not required for the growth of plants. When you have less soil or do not have sufficient area for growing plants, you can use hydroponic gardening method. Though, the hydroponic method of gardening is mainly conducted by using water based solution, the plants can also be grown in other medium such as vermiculite, peat moss, coir, perlite, rockwool, etc. All these processes keep the crown of the plant high above the water but the roots remain in contact with the solution and hence the plant gets necessary nutrients.

The common and popular varieties of hydroponic nutrients are potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. Plants grown by using hydroponic method also needs more macronutrients than micronutrients. However, both macronutrients and micronutrients needed to grow plant successfully by using hydroponic gardening method.
