Soon after we started our trip, I saw a hawk above us. I told it to her and told her where to look. Soon she began to learn how to see them too. Ecstasy is not enough to describe how she felt. Then she started to describe the birds she was seeing. It was just as if we had opened a whole new world for her. Of course she had. In a little while I handed my birding guide and bird binoculars to her.
